Semester one Final
Frida Kahlo Viva la Vida
Reflection
Frida Kahlo was a well-known painter known for her bold, and vibrant self-ports, her work that explored themes of identity and human experiences. Her art journey was deeply influenced by her life experiences, partially her struggles with physical pain and illness. she wanted to help break cultural barriers.i chose this piece because I though it would be fun to recreate.
I do like this piece, but it did fall apart when it was drying I'm not sure why. I also was not able to finish it because I didn't start it in time, I do whish I had finish in time, but Im not sure I would consider making this piece again even though it did break I'm happy with ho it turned and and I'm not sure I would have a reason to recreat this piece.
Constrution
Viva la Vida
When making this piece I though it would be easiest to make it so small. so first I made a little tile for the base of my piece using the slab roller, after I did that I made little circles and some I cut in half and some are not cut, then the one I cut in half I gave it detail like it was cut witch actually ended up taking a long time, I think because it was so small. After it was fired I glazed it with red and green glaze.
